How much Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp employees earn globally.

Meta, the umbrella company of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, stands as one of the biggest tech firms globally. It has a huge workforce ranging from semi-skilled to skilled workers.

According to the Times of India, an average worker at Meta made $379,000 last year. While the founder Mark Zuckerberg bagged a massive $24.4 million as "compensation".

Out of Zuckerberg's $24.4 million pay-out, his official salary remained $1, a symbolic amount he has received for over a decade as his wealth has increased up to $151.2 billion.

According to the filings, out of the $24.4 million, around $9.4 million went towards his security and $1 million went into his air travel.

The tech giant employs around 67,000 people globally.

These pay numbers were revealed in a recent company filing ahead of Meta’s annual shareholder meeting.

The filing stated, "We believe that Zuckerberg's role puts him in a unique position, he is synonymous with Meta and, as a result, negative sentiment regarding our company is directly associated with and often transferred to, Zuckerberg.

"Zuckerberg is one of the most-recognized executives in the world, in large part as a result of the size of our user base and our continued exposure to global media, legislative, and regulatory attention.”
